EXHIBITION OPENED IN ZATOUNA, ARCADIA REGION, COMMEMORATING THE CENTENARY OF COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF FIDEL CASTRO
As part of the 5th Mikis Theodorakis International Festival, held between June 19 and 21, a photographic exhibition was inaugurated in homage to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, commemorating the centenary of his birth. The exhibition, which includes important aspects of the life and revolutionary work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, was organized in collaboration with the Fidel Castro Ruz Center in Havana and with the support of Studio New Star Art Cinema.
Meeting of the Heads of Mission of the GRULAC Greece
Under the hospitality of the Ambassador of Peru to Greece, H.E. Mr. Arturo Javier Arciniega Calderón, the regular monthly meeting of the heads of mission of the Latin American Group in Athens took place.
The occasion provided an opportunity to bid farewell, in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, to H.E. Mr. Paulo Roberto Caminha de Castilhos França, the Ambassador of Brazil to the Hellenic Republic, who, after almost three years of dedicated service, concluded his mission in Greece and departed for his country.
A MASSIVE EVENT OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA AND TRIBUTE TO COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF FIDEL CASTRO RUZ WAS HELD IN ATHENS ON THE CENTENARY OF HIS BIRTH
Organized by the Attica Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), a large demonstration of solidarity with the Cuban people and their Revolution took place. The event, which drew a massive crowd, notably including workers and young people waving red and Cuban flags and chanting energetic slogans of solidarity, was held in the Town Hall Square of Perisiteri, the most populous municipality in the Greek capital.
SOLIDARITY EVENT WITH CUBA IN THE ATHENIAN MUNICIPALITY OF ILIOPOULI
Organized by the Iliopouli Retirees Association and the Hellenic-Cuban Association of Friendship and Solidarity, an event was held to reaffirm solidarity with Cuba and the struggle of its people in the face of persistent and increasingly blatant accusations and threats from the main spokespeople of Yankee imperialism.
The event, which was well-attended and continued despite the rain, took place in one of the municipality's squares. Speakers highlighted the friendship and solidarity of the Greek people, reaffirming that Cuba and its noble people are not alone.
