Solidarity with Cuba at the ODIGITIS Festival of the KNE Youth in Greece
As part of the Odigitis Festival of the KNE Youth, a well-attended event in solidarity with Cuba was held under the slogan "Stop the Blockade! Let Cuba Breathe!"
The event, organized by the KKE, was attended by Giorgos Marinos, a member of the KKE's Political Bureau, and MEPs Kostas Papadakis and Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos.
The main speakers at the event were the Cuban Ambassador to Greece, Aramis Fuente Hernández, and Aris Evangelidis, a member of the International Relations Department of the KKE Central Committee.
76th ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
It was a great pleasure to attend the celebration of the 76th Anniversary of the National Day of the People's Republic of China, presided over by the Ambassador of that sister country to Greece, H.E. Fang Qiu, who was accompanied by other officials from that diplomatic mission.
80TH ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAM'S NATIONAL DAY
It was an honor to accompany the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Greece, H.E. Pham Thi Thu Huong, along with other diplomats from that Mission and Vietnamese residents, to the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Greece.
A broad representation of the diplomatic corps accredited in Athens was present, as well as authorities, parliamentarians, business leaders, civil servants, and personalities from various sectors of Greek society.
TRIBUTE IN ATHENS TO FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA AND ODYSSEAS ELYTIS
I had the pleasure of attending last night's tribute to Federico García Lorca and Odysseas Elytis as a guest. The event took place within the framework of the Mediterranean Poetry Festival, organized by the Instituto Cervantes and the Elytis House-Museum, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy.
THE BATTLE OF SALAMINS REMEMBERED IN ATHENS
We had the honor of participating in the moving ceremony and wreath-laying ceremony commemorating another anniversary of the Battle of Salamis in Athens. The event, which takes place every year in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located next to the Hellenic Parliament, was attended by political leaders and parliamentarians, ambassadors, and various figures from Hellenic society. With the laying of our laurel wreath, we once again pay tribute to the Greek people, their patriotic traditions, and their history of struggle.
