CUBAN CULTURE DAY COMMEMORATED IN ATHENS
The painter Svetlana Booth donates one of her works to the Embassy As part of the activities in honor of the Cuban Culture Day, an emotional event, well attended, took place at the "Project" Art Space Gallery, which highlighted by the presence of artists, intellectuals, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and other figures. Also there were the President of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, member of Parliament George Amyras; the Director of North America, South America, and the Caribbean in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Loukas Karatsolis; and other officials of this body.
Second Edition of the "To Cuba with Love" Painting Contest for Cuban Culture Day
The second edition of the Children's and Youth Painting Contest "To Cuba with Love," organized by the Cuban Embassy in Athens, was held at its facilities this Saturday, October 18th, in honor of Cuban Culture Day and attended by a representation of family members and other members of the Cuban community residing in Greece.
MEETING WITH THE CHAIR OF THE PERMANENT COMMITTEE ON NATIONAL DEFENSE AND FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE HELLENIC PARLIAMENT
With great pleasure, the GRULAC Hellas Heads of Mission held a meeting in Athens with Ms. Dora Bakoyiannis, Chair of the Permanent Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament.
The meeting, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, included an exchange of views on various current issues related to the main challenges facing the international arena.
POETRY BOOK PRESENTED IN ATHENS ON THE 58TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHE'S FALL
As a tribute to Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, on the 58th anniversary of his fall in Bolivia, the book "CHE OF POETRY - The Poet of Poets" by poet and writer Babis Zafiratos, published by NEW STAR Publishing, was presented in Athens.
The 650-page book focuses on the poet Che, a previously little-known facet of his life, while also highlighting his great love of poetry.
