The historic Torch March will light up the streets from the University Staircase to the Fragua Martiana and, on this occasion, most of the torches, which will descend the steps of the University of Havana, and which will cross other streets in the country, were built by children and their parents.

STATEMENT BY THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF GREECE (KKE) CONDEMNING THE RETURN OF CUBA TO THE LIST OF STATES SPONSORING TERRORISM.
The Communist Party of Greece condemned the reinstatement of Cuba to the list of States sponsoring terrorism. Below is the text of its denunciation: The new Trump administration in the US, in a shameful action from the first day of its administration, placed Cuba back on the list of "States sponsoring terrorism." Equally responsible is the Biden administration, which after having kept Cuba on the list for 4 years, after having maintained and strengthened the measures of the barbaric imperialist blockade, hypocritically decided a few days after its departure to remove Cuba from the list.
STATEMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The United States takes steps in the right direction, but the blockade remains in force.
On January 14, 2025, the government of the United States announced the following decisions:
1. Remove Cuba from the State Department list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;
2. Make use of the presidential faculty to prevent US courts from taking action with regards to lawsuits that might be filed by virtue of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act; and
