The 2016-2017 school year ended in Guyana and another group of Caribbean, African and Asian students from the Medical career were graduated under the guidance of Cuban doctors.
Up to now, about 790 Guyanese students benefited from the Scholarship Program granted by Cuba have been graduated as medical doctors.
As a result of the solidarity and internationalist tradition of Cubawith the sister nations of the world, 38 Guyanese and from other latitudes medical students: Malaysia, Tanzania, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize and Saint Kitts and Nevis, that pursued the Medical career in Cuba, culminated the 6th year in Guyana under the tutelage of Cuban health professionals, members of the Medical Brigade, who were also their teachers.
Today they celebrate the success of the results achieved in the State Exams just concluded with 100% promotion. Soon, they will receive the certificate that accredits them as medical doctors and will be at the service of their respective peoples.
