Vientiane August 19, 2023. The Embassy of Cuba in the Lao PDR, invited by the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association, attended the First Meeting of Graduate Students in the largest of the Caribbean Islands, during the years 1982-1984.
An appointment between former classmates and shared dreams, who relived moments of their adolescence, in which they expressed their infinite gratitude for the opportunity offered by the Cuban Revolution and its policy of cooperation with developing countries, in the formation of human capital.
The Cuban Ambassador, Enna Viant Valdes, congratulated this initiative to continue in the future and dedicated this important graduation to the 70th Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks as well as the 97th Anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro . It was an opportune moment to update and exchange on the situation in Cuba, the efforts of the Government and debates in the National Assembly of People's Power committed to the implementation of the country's socio-economic development strategies and plans.
The Cuban diplomat thanked the permanent support of the Friendship Association for Cuba's just fight for the end of the blockade and its adhesion to the global call that asks to remove Cuba from the illegal list of countries that co-sponsor terrorism.
It was an unforgettable meeting, due to its significance and commitment, which corroborated the solid foundations on which the indestructible bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Cuba and Laos are based.
