The 5th International Meeting of Arts for Children "Happy Heart" will take place from May 28 to June 2, 2024 in Havana. A festival where boys and girls are protagonists along with all the arts.
Like every edition, a theoretical event will be held, where experiences and good practices of working with children are presented and it is transmitted in streaming linked to more than 100 pages of the Ministry of Culture.
Concerts, dance shows, theater, reading day, flasmobs, plastic arts and culinary art will be present in theater spaces, Houses of Culture, Cuban Art Factory, parks, squares and communities.
This year the Festival has a special proposal for International Children's Day, June 1, which will be a giant collage of human figures: girls and boys and their families will be invited to draw themselves, cut out their figure and send it to your nearest House of Culture if you are in Cuba, and if you are in other countries, send them to the Cuban Embassies or the Unicef offices and we will see it finished on the 1st at the National Museum of Fine Arts.
Accompanying boys and girls in their learning processes with the arts, transmitting values and all issues of culture of peace, rescuing our cultural heritage for children, are among our main objectives.
This year the Festival will be dedicated to the work of Silvio Rodríguez for children, the Puppet Theater and as a permanent theme: caring for the environment.
