The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Lao PDR celebrated the 64th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, with the presence of high-ranking personalities of the Party, Government. Unite and win, was the dominant trend and special reason for the celebration, summarized the Cuban ambassador Enna Viant Valdes diplomat, who was accompanied by the vice president of the Lao National Assembly and President of the Friendship Association and the Laos-Cuba Parliamentary Group, Chaleune Yiapahoer, and the Foreign Relations Commission of the People's Revolutionary Party, Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Similarly, the Minister of Education and Sports Phout Simmalavong and the vice ministers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Health Mr. Bonleua Phandanouvong and Snong Tongsana respectively, gave warm support with their presence together with representatives of political and mass organizations, among them the Union of Revolutionary Popular Youth, the Lao Women's Union, institutions such as the Laos National University, the Supreme Court, the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association, the press and representation of collaboration in the field of education and of the Cubans residents accompanied the Cuban Embassy in the celebration, as well as a broad participation of the diplomatic corps accredited in this capital.
The Cuban diplomat, Viant Valdes, in her speech highlighted the feat of a small country that was the victim of a cruel and illegal blockade and of the policy of maximum pressure applied by successive US governments, and the firmness and perseverance to face the challenges was praised, ensuring that the Cuban Revolution is renewed without losing its essence and principles,and advances despite adversities.
Other important steps achievement in Foreign Policy was done in 2022, among them the celebrqation of the 50 anniversary of relations Cuba- CARICOM and the recognition that the Caribbean island has received as the pro tempore presidency of Group 77 + China, where it will work tirelessly in pursuit of unity and cooperation, a basic force to strengthen the interests of the countries of the South.
