The 69th Anniversary of the National Rebellion Day in Cuba is commemorated in Indonesia

Jakarta, July 26.- At the headquarters of the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia, the member of the President's Advisory Council, Dr. Agung Laksono, received the Ambassador of Cuba in this capital and a delegation of scientists from the Center of Molecular Immunology, occasion in which the Day of the National Rebellion in the Greater Antilles was highlighted.

During the fraternal meeting, which was attended by members of the Presidential Advisor Office and Dr. Arlhee Diaz Miqueli, Administration Manager of the company CIMAB SA of the Molecular Immunology Center (CIM), as well as  Sergio Cata Murgido, Deputy Director of Industrial Operations of  CIM, Dr. Laksono shared the results of his recent visit to Cuba, last June. He stressed that, during his visit to the CIM and to BIOCUBAFARMA, his delegation received first-hand information on the progress of the island in the biotechnology sector and the potential to work together on cooperation projects.

Dr. Arlhee spoke about the fruitful exchanges held during the working visit to Indonesia in the Indonesian Regulatory Agency, hospital institutions and in local biopharmaceutical companies, where they exposed on the leading medical products of the Cuban pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry. As a result of these exchanges, were confirmed interest in the innovative products Nimotuzumab, CIMAvax, Heberprot-P and in Cuban vaccines against Covid-19 and against the Alzheimer.

For her part, the Cuban Ambassador to Indonesia, Tania Velázquez López, recalling President Sukarno's visit to Cuba, noting that was the first Head of State to visit the Island after the Triumph of the Revolution, made reference to the historical relations and cooperation between both nations. Likewise, the Cuban Ambassador thanked the Asian nation for its brave and invariable position against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, despite which the small Caribbean nation continues to celebrate achievements such as its own anti-Covid vaccines, thanks to the that precisely today the Cuban people are celebrating the 69th Anniversary of the National Rebellion Day in a healthy way.

Both parties agreed that the best tribute to the 69th Anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks is to continue working, to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation for the health and well-being of  the people of both nations.
