Cuba condemns and demands the immediate suppression of the group of extraterritorial norms that set up the economic, commercial and financial Embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba for more than 50 years and calls to fulfill, without any further delay, the innumerable resolutions adopted by the General Assembly on the item and with paragraph 9 of the High-Level Declaration on Rule of Law, Resolution 67/1, stating as follows: “States are strongly urged to refrain from promulgating and applying any unilateral economic, financial or trade measures not in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations that impede the full achievement of economic and social development, particularly in developing countries.” (Debate under Agenda item: "The rule of law at the national and international levels." , 5 October 2016)
