It was a great pleasure to attend the celebration of the 76th Anniversary of the National Day of the People's Republic of China, presided over by the Ambassador of that sister country to Greece, H.E. Fang Qiu, who was accompanied by other officials from that diplomatic mission.
The event was well attended, including officials from the Hellenic Foreign Ministry and other ministries and institutions, parliamentarians, business leaders from a wide variety of fields, and figures from science, culture, and other diverse sectors of Greek society. Also present was a broad representation of the diplomatic corps accredited in Athens.
In his remarks, Ambassador Fang Qiu highlighted the excellent state of relations between the two countries and the growing development they have experienced in recent years, covering multiple and varied sectors of science, economy, culture, trade, transportation, and other segments of the bilateral relationship. Several speakers from the host country also highlighted the level of ties between the two countries and the favorable prospects for further development, benefiting both countries.
