Abu Dhabi, Monday March 6. The Ambassador of Cuba, Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Abdullah M. Al Mazrui, president of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and the Federal Authority of Chambers of Commerce of the United Arab Emirates.
In a pleasant exchange, the Cuban diplomat acknowledged the good existing dialogue and reviewed the results of the visit of the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte Corona, to Expo Dubai 2020 and the memorandum signed in 2021 between both institutions. The existing signed agreement laid the foundations for interaction between companies in order to strengthen economic and commercial relations between both nations.
Escalona Carrillo notified the call for various commercial events to be held in Cuba in 2023, as well as noted the efforts made by the Caribbean nation to recover from the combined effects of the global pandemic and the US blockade against Cuba.
On the Emirati side, Latifah Hmoud H. Alameri, head of the Delegations Section, also participated. The Cuban representative was accompanied by the Second Secretary, Ailyn Martínez Sarduy.
