Abuja, January 7th, 2026. — The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Federal Republic of Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero received a note of condolences sent by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Indusrty (ACCI), following the killing of 32 Cuban citizens during the terrorist attack carried out by the Government of the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on last January 3.
The note was delivered by the Director General of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Agabaidu Chukwuemeka, who conveyed to the Ambassador a message of profound sorrow and solidarity, as well as the institutional support of the Chamber and its members in the face of this painful event. In his remarks, he expressed fraternal support to the families of the victims, to the Cuban people, and to their diplomatic representation in Nigeria, reiterating the Chamber’s commitment to the values of peace, justice, and respect for international law.
For her part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Nigeria sincerely expressed her gratitude for the solidarity gesture and the message of constant support from the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, underscoring the importance of solidarity and friendship among peoples and institutions in times of deep sorrow. She also valued the Chamber’s support as a demonstration of mutual respect and of the strong ties that unite Cuba and Nigeria.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of solemnity and respect, reaffirming the bonds of friendship, cooperation, and understanding that characterize the relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Abuja Chamber of Commerce.
