ACT OF SOLIDARITY IN ATHENS WITH THE CUBAN PEOPLE AND REJECTION OF THE BLOCKADE

Organized by the "José Martí" Cultural Association of Solidarity with Cuba in Greece, in the gardens of the Museum of Imprisoned and Exiled Combatants from the period 1967 to 1974, an act of solidarity with the Cuban people was carried out, whose main motive was to ratify the rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade implemented by the United States government against Cuba and demand its immediate lifting.
In the act, in which a large audience participated, the Ambassador of Cuba in Greece, Aramís Fuente Hernández, who offered extensive information on the blockade, its origins and extraterritorial nature, as well as the way in which it has affected, for more than 60 years, to all sectors of Cuban society and the economic damage it has caused to the country.
The ambassador answered different questions and highlighted the support of the Greek people towards their Cuban brothers, which is also a reflection of the broad and growing movement of solidarity with the people of the island, in the most diverse regions of the world.
