Active participation of Cuban deputies at the International Conference of Parliamentarians held in Oslo

Oslo, April 15, 2024. Within the framework of the 8th International Parliamentarians´ Conference on the Implementation of the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (IPCI/ICPD),  which took place in this city from 10 to 12 April, the deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba shared experiences on the application of Cuban legislation for the protection of the human rights of all people without discrimination based on their orientation or gender identity.

Rolando González Patricio, Arelys Santana Bello and Estela Cristina Luna Morales, presidents of of the Commissions of the Cuban Parliament for International Relations; Attention to Youth, Children and Equal Rights of Women, and Health and Sports, respectively, took advantage of the opportunity to thank the parliamentarians present for their support in the fight against the blockade imposed against Cuba by the US government for more than six decades, which cruelly impacts the daily lives of the Cuban families.

At the Conference, parliamentarians from several countries conveyed messages of recognition and gratitude to Cuba for its solidarity contribution in health, education, sports and other fields, as well as for the firm resistance of its people in defense of the Revolution.
