Statement in Solidarity with Cuba and Against US Imperialist Aggression.

The Norwegian Communist Party condemns the latest escalation of sanctions imposed by the United States against Cuba. The executive order issued on 1 May 2026, followed by direct sanctions on 7 May against major Cuban economic entities, represents yet another act of imperialist aggression against the Cuban people. These measures target key sectors of Cuba’s economy, including tourism, mining, nickel and cobalt production, and foreign investment. They are designed not only to weaken the Cuban state, but to deepen hardship for the Cuban people.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

The Electronic Visa System will allow us to offer a more efficient service, facilitating and streamlining the visa application process. If you wish to travel to Cuba for tourism purposes, please note the following steps:

1. All consular fees must be paid to our Bank Account No. 7058.05.79556 DNB prior to requesting the corresponding service. Cash payments are NOT accepted.

2. Make the payment 72 hours in advance of the service.

3. The Consulate will only issue visas/appointments for services once the Bank has confirmed the transfer.

4. In bank transfers, it is essential to include the traveler's name, even if the payment is made by someone else. The payment receipt attached to the application must clearly show when one person is paying on behalf of another. Example: Fee for PERSON 1 (NAME), paid by PERSON 2 (NAME). Scan the payment receipt with the application; do not use PDFs. The digital tourist visa has a consular fee of 251.00 Norwegian Kroner (NOK), wich must be transferred to account number 7058.05.79556.

5. To obtain tourist visas, please visit: https://evisacuba.cu/en/inicio

6. Visas will be issued to the email address provided by the applicant, in the form of an alphanumeric code, upon approval of the application. This code will be activated when the user accesses the platform: https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio

7. Each applicant for an electronic visa is responsible for possessing a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months and ensuring their personal information is accurate. The Consulate is not responsible for errors made in such cases, nor can it make any necessary corrections.

8. No more than 7 days prior to the flight to Cuba, the traveler must complete the form available at this link: https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio. After completing the form, the traveler will receive a QR code, which must be presented in digital or printed format to the airline representative at the departure airport and also to Cuban authorities upon arrival. This is mandatory.

9. Once the fees for consular services have been deposited into the Embassy's bank account, you have a maximum of 6 months to contact or appear in person at the Consular Office by appointment to receive the service and/or request a refund of any remaining balance.

10. For other visas or other types of procedures, the application form must be completed in full.
