Three more Norwegian Social Work students begin work training in Cuba
Oslo, April 7, 2025. Three new Norwegian Social Work students from the University of Stavanger (UIS) started their work training at the Convent of Bethlehem, coordinated by the Department of Sociology of the University of Havana.

The relations of cooperation between LO Oslo and CTC Havana move forward

A delegation from the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions in Oslo (LO i Oslo), headed by Ingunn Gjerstad, is in Havana these days, within the framework of the relations of friendship and cooperation that it has with the provincial committee of the Central Workers’ Union of Cuba (CTC) in the Cuban capital.

The Ambassador Maité Rivero Torres received Alejandro Sánchez Castellanos, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana, a few hours before his return to Cuba at the end of a stay of several weeks in Norway as part of the cooperation project “Ecological Connections: Cultural Studies in Cuba and Norway” (ECOCON), existing between the University of Havana and the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) in Bø.
