With great pleasure, along with other members of the diplomatic corps, I accompanied Her Excellency Zaina Benhabouche, Ambassador of Algeria to Greece, members of her Embassy, and residents from that sister nation in Athens, at the celebration of the Algerian Cultural Days in Athens.
The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, who attended the opening ceremony, offered a warm greeting in which he highlighted the close relations between our two countries. In her remarks, the Ambassador spoke about important aspects of her country's culture and also emphasized the friendly ties that exist and are growing stronger between the people of Algeria and Greece.
Before a large audience, an engaging performance of Algerian music was presented, and traditional costumes and other elements of the rich cultural heritage of that sister nation were showcased.
