Dili, October 17, 2026. In the multipurpose halls of the GMN, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forests, Marcos da Cruz, presided over the awards gala honoring domestic products distinguished with the export quality seal, an initiative aimed at stimulating domestic production.
The evening included a fashion show that highlighted the importance of clothing design and tailoring. On this occasion, special emphasis was placed on the craftsmanship of the Tais—traditional handwoven textiles from Timor-Leste inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—whose cultural value requires ongoing efforts to safeguard them.
Members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country also attended the event. The Cuban ambassador, Alina Aldama, had the opportunity to present trophies and certificates of recognition to the award recipients.
