Ambassador and Chief of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Guyana visit groups of collaborators.

Georgetown, October 30, 2010. Ambassador Narciso Reinaldo Amador Socorro, visited several groups of Cuban collaborators that work in different regions of Guyana with the aim of introducing the new head of the Medical Cooperation Brigade in this country, Dr. Enildo Ruíz Arcia, and the logistics manager, Lázaro Yankiel Álvarez Rodríguez.

The tour of the delegation included the Skeldon Hospital, the Port Mourant Ophthalmological Center, the New Amsterdam Hospital, and the Mahaicony Hospital and during the visits, it was exchanged wide and fraternal information and opinions with Cuban collaborators who render their services in these Guyanese health institutions.

The Ambassador and Dr. Ruíz Arcia congratulated the collaborators for their exemplary attitude and good work results in the midst of the complex and difficult situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and urged them to maintain that behavior and reinforce the measures of biosecurity to avoid getting this dangerous disease. For their part, the collaborators thanked the Ambassador for his presence, gave a fraternal welcome to Dr. Ineldo Ruíz Arcia and the Logistics Manager Mr. Lázaro Yankiel Álvarez Rodríguez, and reiterated their commitment to continue providing high-quality health services to the Guyanese population, implementing strict protection and security measures regarding the COVID-19.
