Oslo, April 18, 2023. The ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, received Tesfaye Korfil, an Ethiopian residing in Norway, who will travel to Cuba this weekend to take part in the XVI “First of May" International Brigade of Volunteer Work and Solidarity with Cuba.
As part of the Brigade, from April 23 to May 7, Tesfaye will fulfill an intense program, which includes his participation in the massive parade on the occasion of the International Workers' Day, as well as visits to places of interest and conferences on relevant topics of the current Cuban reality. Likewise, he will attend the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, which will take place in Havana.
The young friend, who is a member of the Association of Ethio-Cubans in Norway, said he was very happy for the opportunity to go to Cuba again, a country where he spent unforgettable years of his life and where he had the opportunity to study and become a high-level professional.
The Ambassador thanked Tesfaye for his feelings of love and gratitude towards Cuba and wished him a happy trip, as well as a memorable stay in the Island. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
