Ambassador of Cuba and Minister of Health of Maldives exchanged about bilateral issues

Malé, May 7, 2024. The Cuban ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido exchanged with the Minister of Health of the Maldives, Abdullah Khaleel, about the medical cooperation that the Caribbean island provides to this South Asian island republic.
The diplomat also referred to the different types of collaboration that Cuba maintains and develops with various countries around the world.
Daniel Posada, head of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Maldives and Khadheja Abdul Samad Abdulla, Minister of State for Health of the Maldives and other officials of the Ministry of Health participated in the meeting.
Since 2022, Cuba has maintained a medical brigade in the Maldives, with professionals who cover health areas in the capital Malé and the islands that make up the small archipelago.
