SRI LANKA, December 12, 2019. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, called on the new Foreign Minister of the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena.
During the meeting, held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties highlighted the historical relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Sri Lanka, as well as exchanged on various issues of bilateral interest.
In addition, the Ambassador delivered to Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena a congratulatory message from her Cuban Foreign Minister, HE. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, in which he ratified the will to continue strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba, Raúl Filgueiras Rivero, was also present at the meeting.
