Nigeria, July 13, 2022. The Cuban ambassador to this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, signed the book of condolences for the death of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at the Japanese diplomatic headquarters in Abuja
On the occasion of the assassination of Shinzo Abe, after the attack that occurred during an electoral speech, the President of the Republic of Cuba decreed an Official Duel, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on July 11, 2022.
Abe was the first Japanese head of government to visit Cuba, in 2016, at which time he held fruitful talks with Army General Raúl Castro Ruz. He always maintained a position of respect and consideration towards Cuba. During his tenure, relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries were strengthened.
