Ambassador of Cuba in Granada Presents Credential Letters to the Governor General.

St. George, December 19, 2023.- The new Ambassador of Cuba in Granada, Ivette Martínez Leyva, presented in a solemn audience, to the Governor General, Her Excellency Dame Cecile La Grenade, the Credential Letters, which accredit her to the Government of that country. country.

During the meeting, the Governor welcomed the Cuban diplomat and highlighted the historical relations of friendship and cooperation. For her part, the designated Ambassador expressed satisfaction at assuming the new position before the Caribbean nation and highlighted her commitment to promoting the good state of bilateral relations.

The exchange was conducive to thanking, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, the traditional support of the Executive of Grenada, for Cuba's just demand before the United Nations, for the lifting of the Blockade.

Both parties discussed the bilateral agenda and agreed to work to strengthen mutual cooperation and honor the friendship between both nations.

The governor gave the Cuban diplomat a book with the identifying species of Granada, known as the Island of Species.
