St George, March 22. During a visit to the Grenada Ministerial Complex, Cuban Ambassador Ivette Martínez presented to the Minister of Agriculture and Lands, Honorable Senator Lennox Andrew, the different sectors in which both islands can establish cooperation.
The diplomat presented Cuba's positive results in terms of seed production and agricultural practices resilient to the island climate that we share, the experience in integrated pest management, assembly of organoponic plants and other services associated with animal management and production.
For his part, the head of the Grenada agricultural sector said that they would evaluate the field where they are most in need of the proposed technical assistance and stated that they need Cuba's support in the training of professionals in agronomy, to strengthen the specialized personnel they have today.
Grenada is working on an agricultural revitalization program, with results in the production of cassava flour, but they are seeking to diversify products and reach new sustainable agricultural practices.
