Kingston, Jamaica, November 16th, 2017. Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, Ines Fors Fernandez, was welcomed, this morning, by the Minister of Justice of Jamaica, Delroy Chuck, at the headquarters of said ministry in Kingston.
During the cordial meeting, both parts expressed the willingness to increase the cooperation between the ministries of Justice of Jamaica and Cuba and to continue strengthening the instruments of cooperation that already exist.
The Jamaican minister availed the opportunity to recalled his last visit to Cuba in 2010 as former President of the Parliament. He remembered, in particular, the meeting he held with the relatives of the Cuban Five Heroes.
Minister Chuck also thanked for the presence of Cuban collaborators in Jamaica, working in areas like health and education.
The Cuban Ambassador praised the warm welcome by the Minister and reiterated the compromise to continue working to achieve increased exchanges between both nations.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, Carol Palmer, participated at the meeting.
