The Hague, 19 March 2018. In the afternoon of March 15, the Ambassador of Cuba in the Kingdom of The Netherlands H.E. Mrs. Soraya Alvarez Núñez received in the chancellery the regional representative for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), Mr. Ignacio Goicoechea.
The Ambassador thanked the Mr Goicochea the opporrtunity to meet to discuss about the current work of the HCCH, with which Cuba has signed two Conventions: The Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption (Hague Adoption Convention) and Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children.
On his part, Mr. Goicochea expressed his willingness to continue supporting our country in the strengthening of the dialogue and the relations with the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
