Cuban Ambassador Pedro L. Despaigne González visited the Ministry of Health of Ghana, where he was received by the Deputy Minister, Hon. Kingsley Aboagye-Gyedu, with whom he discussed issues related to the cooperation in the field of health is carried out with Ghana.
The work meeting facilitated to specify elements related to the next visit to Ghana by a Cuban delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Health of Cuba, Dr. Marcia Cobas Ruiz, as well as to receive the considerations of the recently visit to Cuba developed by the Ghanaian Deputy Minister, as head of the delegation that participated in the Convention "Cuba Salud 2018".
The health sector has been one of the main links in bilateral cooperation. Currently 20 Cuban doctors are working in Ghana. Also participating in the meeting were Dr. Hafez Adam Taher, National Coordinator of Health Collaboration with Cuba and Dr. Ana Lubín García, Chief of the Cuban Medical Mission in the country.
