The staff of the Cuban Mission in Ghana gathered at the Embassy to reaffirm their full support for the call made by Miguel Díaz -Canel Bermúdez during the historic celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Declaration of the Socialist Character of the Revolution, in which he called for a national and international movement of solidarity and condemnation against the genocidal blockade, the brutal economic war, the policy of hatred, and the continuous threats of military aggression by imperialism against the Cuban people.

Alejandro García del Toro, general deputy director of United States affairs at Cuba’s Foreign Ministry (MINREX) confirmed recent foreign press reports on meetings between US and Cuba’s officials in Havana.
“It’s a thorny topic that, as we have said, we have managed discreetly,” he said.
The Cuban official confirmed that undersecretaries from the U.S. State Department met with a Cuban delegation led by a deputy minister of foreign relations.
