Categorical rejection of unfounded allegations of interference in US elections

Communiqué issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

Towards the end of the month of July this year, some articles published by   the newspaper The Miami Herald and others of the McClatchy news publishing company, to which it belongs, started to launch a new slanderous campaign against Cuba. In order to prop up their allegations, they have made reference to the existence of anonymous intelligence, a common practice resorted to by the aforementioned media group and their editors when lies become the essence of their reports.

Cuba Solidarity Campaign in Ghana condemns the inclusion of the island on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

Accra, August 1, 2024. - The Cuba Solidarity Campaign in Ghana supported the Cuban people and government in a statement issued on August 1, 2024. The document condemns the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and notifies that the Campaign joins the worldwide call for the removal of Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism (SST) list, issued annually by the United States Department of State.

 

Statement by 123 countries demanding the exclusion of Cuba from the Unilateral List of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism

Geneva, June 26th, 2024

The List of States Allegedly Sponsoring Terrorism goes against the fundamental principles and peremptory norms of international law, including international solidarity. The process through which the designation is made is unclear and non-transparent.

It negatively affects the realization and enjoyment of fundamental human rights, including the rights to food, health, education, economic and social rights, the right to life and right to development.

Representatives of the May Day Brigade more committed to Cuba

Accra, July 6, 2024. - Representatives of the Ghana Trade Union Congress, TUC, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Ghana, Anette Chao García, at the Embassy's headquarters in the Ghanaian capital. The meeting was also attended by the General Secretary of the Socialist Movement of Ghana and important member of Ghana's solidarity with Cuba, Kwesi Pratt Jnr.

 

Russian Federation Navy Vessels Group to arrive in Havana

A naval detachment from the Russian Federation consisting of four vessels –the frigate “GORSHKOV”; the nuclear-powered submarine “KAZAN”; the “PASHIN” fleet sea tanker and the salvage tug “NIKOLAI CHIKER”- will pay an official visit to the port of Havana from June 12 to 17, 2024.

This visit is consistent with the historically friendly relations existing between Cuba and the Russian Federation and strictly abides by the international regulations Cuba is a State Party to.
