Outstanding Ghanaian female leader visits the Embassy of Cuba

Accra, 29 August 2025. – Today, the Embassy of Cuba in the Ghanaian capital welcomed Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw, Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Administrator of the Government of Ghana’s Minerals Development Fund (MDF), and former Member of Parliament.

Cuban Embassy participates in Socialist Movement Ghana Congress

Accra, 20 September, 2025. – The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Julio E. Pujol Torres, and Second Secretary Yamil E. Martinez represented Cuba at the Second Congress of the Ghana Socialist Movement, held at the Amilcar Cabral School in Aburi, Ghana.

The Congress, with massive and enthusiastic participation by young people, had as its central theme “Imperialism in Crisis, Pan-African Solidarity and Socialist Transformation

President of the Nation receives Cuban Hero in his Office

Accra, 11 September. President of ICAP, Hero of the Republic of Cuba MP, Fernando González Llort, was received in a fraternal meeting by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, in his office at Jubilee House.

President of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), gives symbolic token of appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana.

Accra, 9 September, 2025. – On this Tuesday, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, received a gift from Fernando González Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of ICAP, consisting of a collage of photographs from the ceremony in which he was awarded the Medal of Friendship by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba. This ceremony was held at ICAP headquarters in Havana when, as Vice President, Mahama visited Cuba in 2011.

Reception amongst African envoys in Ghana

Accra, 1 September, 2025. – The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres, participated in a reception to welcome and bid farewell to the Ambassadors of the African Diplomatic Corp stationed in Accra.
