NO TO MILITARY AGGRESSION AND INTERFERENCE IN VENEZUELA.
The Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) condemns in the strongest terms the imperialist aggression of the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Célia Flores. This attack constitutes a flagrant violation of national sovereignty, the Charter of the United Nations, international law, and the fundamental principles of the freedom of people.
Ghana Alarmed and Deplores Military Invasion of Venezuela by The United States of America and its Subsequent Abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and His Wife
Accra, 4 January. – The Government of the Republic of Ghana is alarmed by the unilateral and unauthorised invasion of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela by the United States of America and the subsequent abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in the early hours of Saturday 3 January 2026.
LEADER OF SOCIALIST MOVEMENT OF GHANA CONDEMNS U.S. AGGRESSION TO VENEZUELA
Accra, 04 January. – Veteran journalist and leader of the Socialist Movement of Ghana Kwesi Pratt, Jnr. has strongly criticized what he describes as U.S. aggression against Nigeria, Venezuela, and other nations, warning that such actions lack justification and risk plunging the world into wider conflict.
Pratt, Jnr. further called on the Government of Ghana to remove the U.S. military base from Ghana, stressing the need to protect national sovereignty and global peace.
