Show of respect to the Holy Father by signing the Book of Condolences for his passing.

April 23, 2025. - The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, His Excellency Mr. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres signed the Book of Condolences opened at the headquarters of the Apostolic Nunciature in Ghana on the occasion of the death of His Holiness Pope Francis on April 21.

After the signing, the Ambassador was received by Archbishop Julien Kaboré, Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana, with whom he exchanged on the endearing relationship of Pope Francis with our people of whom he said: “I love the Cuban people very much...Cuba is a symbol. Cuba has a great history”.

 

Cuba present at Zimbabwe Day event.

Accra, April 18, 2025. - The Ambassador of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Julio E. Pujol Torres attended the celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the Independence of the sister Republic of Zimbabwe.

The occasion was propitious to exchange with several of the African and Caribbean Heads of Mission.

In his remarks, Zimbabwean Ambassador H.E. Kuza Chinoza highlighted Cuba's permanent solidarity with the cause of Independence in the African lands.

Cuban Ambassador signs book of condolences on the death of former Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Accra, April 17, 2025. - This morning the Cuban Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres visited the headquarters of the High Commission of Malaysia in this capital to sign the book of condolences on the occasion of the death of His Excellency Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, former Prime Minister of that sister country.

Former Premier Badawi contributed to the deepening of relations with Cuba. He made an official visit, when he was decorated with the José Martí Order from the hands of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz. 

Cuban Ambassador visits Trade Union headquarters in Ghana.

Accra, April 17, 2025. - Presided over by the General Secretary of the Ghana TUC Joshua Ansah and the Cuban Ambassador Julio E. Pujol Torres, took place this Thursday at the TUC headquarters in Accra, a fruitful exchange with the 45 Ghanaian trade unionists who will integrate the XVIII International Brigade “May Day” of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba that will participate, as every year, in the celebrations for the International Workers' Day.
