Ambassador Julio E. Pujol welcomed the Honorable Laadi Ayii Ayamba, a member of parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba of the Republic of Ghana, at the headquarters of the Cuban Mission.

Accra, June 8, 2026. Ambassador Julio E. Pujol received at the Cuban Mission’s headquarters the Honorable Laadi Ayii Ayamba, Member of Parliament and Chair of the newly formed Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba in the 9th Term of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

The honorable chairperson of the parliamentary friendship group, composed of 21 members from both parties, expressed her full solidarity with our country, with which Ghana is united by 67 years of fraternal relations initiated by the Founding Father of the Nation, Kwame Nkrumah, and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. She also expressed her full willingness to work alongside the group she leads in Parliament to strengthen relations between the two countries.
