Ambassador of Cuba holds meeting with Executive Director of COP 28

Abu Dhabi, June 1.- As part of the preparations for the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), scheduled this year in the United Arab Emirates, the Cuban ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo, held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Adnan Amin, Executive Director at the office of the Special Envoy for Climate Change in the United Arab Emirates and his negotiating team.

Cuba leads the Group of 77 plus China during 2023 and considers the coordinated effort for South-South collaboration and common objectives in terms of energy transition, mitigation, emission reduction, and support for COP28 a priority.
