Kingston, 29 February 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez gave an interview at the Embassy's offices to Elaine Reckford and Anjuii James-Sawyers, journalists of the Jamaica Information Service, the official news agency of the Jamaican government.
During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the historic ties of brotherhood and cooperation that unite both nations. He underlined the work developed by the Medical and Education Brigades in Jamaica, which work in the 14 Jamaican parishes, at the same time that he evaluated as very broad the possibilities to increase the bilateral commercial exchange in different sectors.
Ambassador Quiñones also acknowledged and thanked the permanent support of the Jamaican people and government in the struggle to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, as well as the denunciation of Cuba's inclusion on the spurious list of State sponsors of terrorism.
