Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica holds meeting with PNP-Patriots leadership.

Kingston, 21 October 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, held a farewell meeting with the leadership of the PNP-Patriots, an organisation of young professionals affiliated with the People's National Party of Jamaica (PNP). The Patriots delegation was led by its president, Paul Blake.

During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat provided an update on the impact of the criminal blockade imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people over the past year and referred to the upcoming vote on the resolution ‘Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba’ at the United Nations General Assembly.

For his part, Paul Blake thanked the health and education collaborators throughout Jamaica for their presence, as a sign of the historic ties that unite both nations. He also reaffirmed the support of the organisation he leads in our country's just demand to end this genocidal policy.
