Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica meets with officials of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA)

Kingston, 13 April 2023.  Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez held a meeting with executives of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA), headed by its president John Mahfood.

During the exchange, both parties evaluated as favourable the opportunities for commercial exchange between both nations in different sectors, in spite of the limitations imposed by the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the government of the United States of America against Cuba.

The Cuban diplomat extended an invitation to his counterparts to participate in the EXPOCARIBE 2023 and FIHAV 2023 trade fairs, scheduled to be held in June and November respectively. For their part, the Jamaican businessmen referred to the organisational details of EXPOJAMAICA, an event that will take place from 27 to 30 April, in which Cuban businessmen are expected to be represented, coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba.
