Kingston, 12 June 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, received Dr Kevin Brown, President of the University of Technology, Jamaica, at the embassy headquarters.
During the exchange, the parties recognised the ties that unite Cuba and Jamaica in the field of education and the need to continue fostering bilateral links for human resources training. They also discussed possible areas of collaboration between the Jamaican institution and its Cuban counterparts, with a special emphasis on the sciences, health, and computing.
Accompanying Dr. Kevin Brown were Professor Adella Campbell, Dean of the College of Health; Simone McGregor-Jackson, Director of Human Resources; and Michelle Beckford, Director of Communications, all from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
