Kenya, December 7, 2021.- Ambassador Juan Manuel Rodríguez Vázquez presented to President of Kenya H.E. Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Kenya.
The Ceremony was held the State House and was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Raychelle Omamo, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Macharia Kamau, as well as General Directors of Various Geographical areas of the Foreign Ministry, among other officials.
The Cuban Ambassador thanked President Kenyatta for the traditional support of his country in the fight against the unjust blockade that the US government has imposed on Cuba for more than 60 years. He assured that he will continue to work for the strengthening of bilateral relations of cooperation between the two brother countries, in areas of mutual interest.
President Kenyatta expressed that Cuba and Kenya are two countries united by friendship, solidarity and cooperation. In this regard, he appreciated the Cuban medical cooperation and ratified that Cuba could always count on the support of his country.
