The Hague, 10 January 2018. A delegation from the Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of The Netherlands, headed by Ambassador Soraya Álvarez Núñez, visited on Tuesday's afternoon the building of the Cervantes Insittute in the city of Utrecht, in the Netherlands.
Ms. Pilar Tena, director of the insitute and other officials of the prestigious institute, received the delegation. The two parties had a friendly exchange during which they spoke about the activities taking place in 2018, which includes the celebration of International Book Day in the month of April.
The visit was also the opportunity for the delegation to donate some books of Cuban literature to the “José Jiménez Lozano” library of the institution, which will officially open on February 2nd. The books donated were: “Obra poética de Nicolás Guillén (poetry works by Nicolas Guillén)”, “Biografía de José Martí (Jose Marti's biography)”, “Yo también amo el Cine (I too love the movies)”, by renowned journalist Orlando Castellanos and “El Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, historia de un proyecto (National Museum of Fine Arts: Story of a Project)”.
