Kuala Lumpur, September 18 – The Ambassador of Cuba to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, paid a courtesy call to the director of the Americas Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amarjit Singh, who has just taken office.
During the cordial meeting the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations and possible ways to strengthen it.
The Cuban ambassador took the opportunity to inform Mr. Singh about current issues in Cuba and the work of denunciation carried out by the country in the face of the resurgence of the blockade imposed by the United States as well as the slander it disseminates on Cuban medical collaboration.
The Malaysian diplomat thanked the information and reaffirmed Malaysia's support for Cuba against the blockade.
