Ambassador of Cuba Meets with Cuban Nationals Residing in Islamabad

October 11, 2026. The Ambassador of Cuba, Damián Cordero Torres, held a meeting with Cuban families residing in and around the Pakistani capital. The gathering, which took place in an emotional atmosphere, provided a special opportunity to bring together several Cuban mothers with their children and their Pakistani husbands, who graduated as medical doctors in Cuba.

The exchange allowed Ambassador Cordero Torres to update the Cuban families on the difficult situation in their homeland due to the tightening of the U.S. blockade, while also explaining the measures being taken to overcome social and economic challenges through recently approved transformations. Likewise, they were updated on the changes to Cuban immigration policy, the core objective of which is to continue uniting Cubans for the good of Cuba.

All attendees agreed on the importance of maintaining unity as Cubans at such a crucial moment, where solidarity from abroad serves as a shield and a guarantor of the nation.
