Oslo, June 19, 2023. The Cuban ambassador to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Ylva Holm Torsteinson, leader of the International Committee of the Red Party, at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
The Ambassador conveyed the interest of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in developing its relations with the Red Party. Likewise, she addressed several issues of great interest for Cuba, among them, the impact of its inclusion by the US government on the list of States sponsors of terrorism and the negative effects of the US blockade on the economy and the living conditions of the people.
Ylva Holm Torsteinson positively welcomed the proposal of working together in order to get closer, contribute to a better understanding of the Cuban reality and promote solidarity.
Luis Lautaro Espinoza, member of the International Committee in charge Latin America and the Caribbean, was also present at the meeting. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
