Oslo, August 30, 2022. The Cuban ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, was received by Bjørg Sandkjær, State Secretary of the Ministry of International Development.
At the meeting, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, they reviewed the positive relations of cooperation existing between the two countries, in which the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) has played a prominent role. In this context, the current situation, results and perspectives of bilateral collaboration projects developed in recent years in several sectors were assessed.
The Ambassador took the opportunity to deliver to the State Secretary a letter addressed to the Norwegian Minister of International Development, Anne Beatthe Tvinnereim, by her Cuban counterpart, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, inviting her to visit Cuba on the occasion of the XXXVIII Havana International Fair, FIHAV 2022, which will take place from November 14 to 18.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Daffne Ernesto Mirabal García, second secretary of the Embassy.
On the Norwegian side, Eugenia Millaray Tapia, deputy director of the Department of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also participated. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
