In the context of the annual meeting of the Stockholm branch of the Swedish-Cuban Friendship Association (AASC), the Ambassador of Cuba, Alba Soto Pimentel, held an exchange with the participants.
The occasion was propitious to provide information on Cuban and the challenges the Island face. In her speech, she referred to the tightening of the blockade against Cuba and its consequences, including the application of Title III of the Helms Burton Act. Finally, she thanked the permanent complaint that solidarity friends make of the blockade.
The meeting closed with a question and answers section, which allowed to address elements of the media battle and the effects of the blockade.
Culture had its space, with the interpretation of well-known pieces such as Guantanamera and Chamamé a Cuba, by the guitarist and singer Eduardo Mejías.
