The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, joined a panel of guests of honor in the launching of the Impact Africa Television Initiative. The activity was chaired by the Vice Minister of Employment and Labor Relations, Hon. Bright Wireko-Brobby, who pointed out the importance of educational television in the development tasks in Ghana and throughout the continent.
The Cuban Ambassador, during his intervention in the Panel, thanked the invitation received, recognized the importance of that Project, which has among its objectives, to provide an image of the continent different from the negative stereotypes offered by the great Western media. The Cuban diplomat emphasized Cuba's historic ties with the African continent. At the end of the event he was interviewed by the television channel GH ONE TV, and there he reiterated that Africa in its battle for development can always count on the support of Cuba.
The First Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba, Julio César Sánchez, also participated in the activity.
