Ambassador of Cuba pays a courtesy call to the new leadership of the Parliament of Uganda

Kampala. On the morning of today, May 3, the Honorable Anita Annet Entre and Thomas Tayebwa, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, received the Ambassador of Cuba Tania Perez Xiques, at the headquarters of that institution.

The Cuban diplomat congratulated them on their election, wished them success in their duties, and reiterated the message of condolences from the President and the National Assembly of Cuba for the loss of beloved Jacob Oulanya, former President of that African parliament.

The opportunity allowed ratifying the commitment of both parliaments to continue strengthening their bilateral relations, and to contribute, from their functions, to invigorate bilateral cooperation relations between Uganda and Cuba.
