Ambassador of Cuba pays a courtesy call to the Political Director General of the Uganda Foreign Ministry.

Kampala. On the morning of August 4, Tania Perez Xiques, Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission was received by Ambassador Philip Odida, Director General for Regional and International Political Affairs of the Ministry of Relations of the Republic of Uganda.

The Cuban diplomat thanked this first meeting with the recently appointed Ugandan official and the possibility of evaluating the current state of bilateral political relations.

Likewise, Pérez Xiqués recognized the reopening of the Ugandan Embassy in Havana and the accreditation of its new Ambassador, at the same time that he referred to the program of celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Cuba-Uganda Diplomatic Relations in the year 2024.

For his part, the Ugandan diplomat ratified the priority Uganda grants to its relations with Cuba, highlighting the joint work carried out by both foreign ministries in the multilateral arena.
