Kuala Lumpur, September 28- The ambassador of the Republic of Cuba into Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, was received in audience by the governor of Sarawak H.E. Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud.
During the meeting the Cuban diplomat offered updated information about Cuba and about the state of bilateral relations. The parties also discussed the possibilities of collaboration and exchange of experiences in the sectors of biotechnology and agriculture, one of the most important sectors of the economy of the state.
Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia and is located in the north of the island of Borneo. It is the most diverse from the ethnic, cultural and linguistic point of view. It is one of the four states ruled by governors unlike the other nine governed by monarchies.
