The Ambassador of Cuba in Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramirez, made a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Major General Dr. Gerald Gwinji, with whom he discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation between Cuba and Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabwean official thanked the cooperation given to Cuba for more than 40 years. Despite the economic difficulties of both countries and the permanence of the US economic blockade against Cuba, bilateral cooperation has been maintained and has allowed Zimbabwe to strengthen the formation of its own human resources. His Ministry aspires to continue developing cooperation in the field of health with Cuba. The Cuban Ambassador was accompanied by comrade Vladimir Guerra, Second of Mission and Dra. Barbara Reina, Head of the Cuban Medical Mission in this country.
